Blood and sweat was required to make this happen. Many thanks to Dietrich and Jeff for helping with install. With the tear out of the old floor, intalling the new one and refinishing equals roughly 29 hours of work.

So last week Connor started his first day of First Grade. It was sweet, he walked into the classroom and sat down at his desk, and said Good-bye Mom. Basically saying I don't need you anymore I am a big boy! (BOO HOO)

In case you missed the first post. Benjamin loves Oreos. This time I gave it t him then I realized that they are messy when they become wet. However he loved it! And I just had to add this picture to the many that we have of him. Who says that picture taking will go down with each child. I almost think that it has gotten worse. Oh Benjamin!!! He is looking at me and saying HELP! He has decided that drawers are his favorite pass time and mine too cause I have to clean up when he has moved on. However he doesn't realize that when he wears socks he can't stand. Its great.

Potty Training Boot Camp

Well I thought that this day would never come. Before I had children I didn't realize how expensive diapers really were, then the little ones came and so did the diaper bill. Well Connor was a breeze to train. Then we had Zachary and I thought that it would take forever for him to train cause he really didn't want anything to do with the toilet. Well last week Bill "the Marine" was sick of changing poopy pullups so while I was at work he decided that it was time.

Three days went by and many wet underwears later we finally did it we peeeeeeeed in the potty. I felt this weight lifted off of my shoulders. No more diapers no more pull ups. And since then he has only had one mess up. No big deal. It's great he is growing up so fast and this just proves that he was ready and I guess that I was dragging my feet.

He wanted me to take a picture of his underwear for his photo book and i thought that I would share it with you, Enjoy!!!!

Ever since Ben learned that there were toys at his level and that he could army crawl into the bathroom he goes "missing" daily to find these toys. On the first day I called out for him and heard nothing then I heard bang bang bang from the bathroom, I went in there and found him there with his bath toys.

This is at the beginning of our project. The shelves that we had up are coming off the walls.

If any of you have been in our basement laundry/storage room it was a nightmare. The shelves were falling off the wall and it was just messy. Last Saturday Crystyne came over to help us with the office and we instead decided that this room needed us more. this was at the begining of our project.

Connor is happy to help keep this area clean.

The final project the shelves up above the washer and dryer. It is wonderful to walk into the basement storage area and actually see what we have. Thanks Crystyne and Jeff for helping us.

After lunch I decided that some milk and oreos sounded good so I had one and then the phone rang and I put the other one down on a paper towel on the bed and when I came back from the call guess who had my other cookie? When he wants something he goes after it. He was so mad that I took it away from him that he wouldn't smile at me until later in the day. Oh well. Sorry Benjamin your too young for cookies just yet.

Oh Dark Thirty

This morning at the bright side of the sun. Connor (usually) wakes up on the right side of the bed, and is happy to be alive. Today he was marching down the hall singinig Called to Serve Him, Heavenly king of glory frozen air to witness for him name. (repeated several times). This is a great sound to hear in the early morning, when I'm not quite awake. I am grateful that the primary program is in October and that he has a firm testimony, that the king of glory is frozen in air.

The fair comes to town each year and each year we decide to go and partake of the festivities and I am not sure why, cause it is the same every single year. But this year it was even better. This bunny was so cute. He would make a lovely fur coat, hanging in my closet.

Bill calls these chips Satan's Seasonings. The minute you open the bag your sinuses are cleared out. I have never tried these chips I think that I like my stomach lining intact and ulcer free. Zachary and Connor have tried these chips I don't know if you can see in the picture but Zach's eyes are watering and he wasn't happy. He will never trust us again.

Every year, the last weekend of the month of August Spokane has food vendors and various other vendors come and provide (for a small fee) food, desert, and crafty type items it's great. Every year Bill and I venture downtown to partake of the atmosphere. This year we decided NOT to take the children, And let me tell you it was great we could walk around and not hear whining about the food, or I'm hungry. We went this year with my sister Jenn and her husband Mike I hope they had a good time. I had egg roll and rice and Bill had fried rice and chicken with special sauce if we would have had the boys they would not like what we would have had. The real topper of the evening was our desert. It was the best funnel cake I have ever experienced. It was a great night.

My Littlest Man

My littlest man has decided that he needs to move and shake his body. One morning I put him on the floor by the brown mouse and came back into the living room about 10 minutes later and much to my surprise he was under the table. Connor came into the room and said "Mom, Benjamin doesn't know that he moved under the table", yes Connor I said. This is the beginning of the end for us. Now that he thinks he can move we are in for it now. He was faster than Connor and Zachary to move and roll over.

Silverwood

Sorry We had a wonderful time it was a nice warm day and all of us enjoyed the rides and the water as you can see below they were very tired and they gave up the fight to not sleep. What a wonderful way to end the summer.

Dirtfest 2008

Our trip to Priest Lake. July 2008 Benjamin is happy to be where ever Mom is.

This first 5 minutes of being there Zachary decided that dirt was his friend. This is pretty much what he looked like the entire time we were there. It was great.

This is Slippery Rock, it is a natural water slide. The water is very cold. As you can see Connor didn't want to put his hands down. Dad and Connor had to hike 1 and 1/4 mile up to get to the slides. needless to say that is why mom and the younger one's didn't go.

This was our fun while on the water.

This is the 2 bedroom cabin that we stayed in, it made the trip wonderful cause we didn't have to set up a tent and we were shielded from the elements.

I have recently learned that New Kids on the Block are back and yes they are back. It takes me back to the day when friends from school and I were driven to Seattle by my dad to watch them in concert and we screamed and yelled to our hearts content. and guess what they are coming back to Seattle to put on another concert, this time I am not sure if i will be there but my heart and mind is taken back and i feel like a little school girl again. I get giddy when i hear there song and I feel like jumping up and down.

It's amazing how mother nature works. Tonight we went down to riverfront park and rode the gondolas and partook of the beauty of the falls. Zach's face when the ride started moving was unforgettable. Connor was worried that it was going to fall, no worries there Connor the ride can hold up to 1000 lbs of weight and we don't come close. ok. ok mom he said. And Ben was asleep in his car seat.
